Garruk Wildspeaker is $10.00! He’s been printed Lorwyn, M10, M11, Commander, Xbox Promo, and a duel deck and still managed to go up! He’s showed up in various modern decks lately from mono green devotion to an experimental deck that takes lots of extra turns, and he’s always had a home in the Deathcloud decks. With this many printings I never thought he would rebound to this value. I guess +1 loyalty to untap 2 lands can really do a lot of things.

Tezzeret the Seeker is up to $20.00 for the Shards of Alara version and $15 for the duel deck version! I think the last time I checked on this guy he was about $7.00. I never replaced the few copies I had, and every once-in-a-while I get asked for him but never have him. It looks like his casual appeal has buoyed his price. I think Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas has supplanted this as a modern playable card, but it appears that the casual appeal of planeswalkers with unique abilities is also a valid investment strategy.

Casual planeswalkers always rebound. Tibalt is the only exception because he is so bad, but there are pleanty of planeswalker collectors out there that still want him. I’ve even run across a few people that collect him. Vraska, the Unseen is rock bottom right now, She offers an attractive set of abilities for commander. Personally, I hate almost all planeswalkers in commander because they just get a giant bullseye on them and someone attacks them to death. Jace Beleren gets a pass since he helps everybody, but how many players will be willing to suicide some of their awesome creatures into Vraska? Her Vindicate ability will surely come in handy and can be used when you are otherwise able to protect Vraska. Her ultimate is actually reachable in this format too thanks to the deathtouching +1. Star City Games had a sale promptly sold out, but you can still find them for $4 by clicking the Shop link above.
